We often have dance parties in our living room. All you need is some good music and at least one dancer. Most of the last three weeks have been so gray and dreary that going outside for exercise is not really all that appealing. So we dance. Today was sunny and warm, so we let all the neighbors know that were hosting a front porch/front yard/social distancing dance party at 4:00. We asked for song requests, set up a playlist, and took our speakers out onto the porch. We had such a blast, dancing out the crazies for almost an hour. An elderly neighbor sat in her chair and did the butt dance, waving her arms in the air. People driving by slowed or stopped. One man got out of his truck and video taped us. We ended up in the middle of the street before it was all over. We danced to Work Together by Canned Heat, I Will Survive by Gloria Gaynor, and Stayin' Alive by the Bee Gees. What a great way to fight the fear and depression that is threatening all of us.
The governor officially announced that school will not resume this year. We received several emails from our administrators ad teachers letting us know that they are working on distance learning plans. I have great concerns about the emotional toll this will take on so many children. As parents and grandparents we will need to work hard to help them through this. Miss Nine had a hard time falling asleep last night. Finally I crawled into her bed with her and we snuggled. She was asleep in five minutes.
Oh, and I finished my puzzle!

The call of the ending of school..took Me over the edge today..Not because of the home schooling but because of the children who miss friends teachers and absolutely no closer before moving on..They all are missing more than the education..Received nothing from our school to even know if they are working on a plan..
